  2. Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA)
    (15 hours)
    1. Philosophy/principles of PRA;
    2. Concept of PRA

    4. Exploratory, topical, participatory, and monitoring PRA
    5. Major PRA techniques (focus group discussion, informal discussion, participant observation, key information interview and conducting interviews
    6. Stakeholders discussion
    7. Resource mapping
    8. Maps and modelling, matrix ranking
    9. Wealth ranking
    10. Participatory workshop
    11. Advantages of PRA, tools and instruments such as triangulation
    12. Time line, ethno-history
    13. Seasonal calendar, pie-diagram, venn diagram
