Course Objective:
To familiarize the students with basics of services requirements in building construction i.e.; HVAC Systems, Fire Protection System ,Vertical Transportation and other mechanical equipments .

  1. Energy (1 hour)
    Energy planning and auditing

  2. HVAC Systems(6 hours)
    1. Psychometric Chart, Thermal comfort, Ventilation standard.
    2. HVAC design.
    3. Components and Types of HVAC systems.
    4. Installation of   HVAC Systems.
    5. Heating System.(Solar/Boilers)

  3. Fire Protection Systems (5 hours)
    1. Types of fire and safety codes.
    2. Wet / dry pipe systems design.
    3.  Hydrant and sprinklers system design.

  4.  Vertical transportation systems and Construction equipments (4 hours)
    1. Lifts and Escalators
    2. Transport Lifts and Construction Hoist.
    3. Construction Equipments. (Site preparation)

  5. Coordination of services with other discipline of construction (4 hours)
    1. Air-conditioning system.
    2. Fire protection System demonstration.
    3. Solar PV and heating system.
    4. Construction sites. 

Practical / Site Visit:(30 hours)
