Course Objective:
To familiarize the students with basics of services requirements in building construction i.e.; HVAC Systems, Fire Protection System ,Vertical Transportation and other mechanical equipments .
- Energy (1 hour)
Energy planning and auditing
- HVAC Systems(6 hours)
- Psychometric Chart, Thermal comfort, Ventilation standard.
- HVAC design.
- Components and Types of HVAC systems.
- Installation of HVAC Systems.
- Heating System.(Solar/Boilers)
- Fire Protection Systems (5 hours)
- Types of fire and safety codes.
- Wet / dry pipe systems design.
- Hydrant and sprinklers system design.
- Vertical transportation systems and Construction equipments (4 hours)
- Lifts and Escalators
- Transport Lifts and Construction Hoist.
- Construction Equipments. (Site preparation)
- Coordination of services with other discipline of construction (4 hours)
- Air-conditioning system.
- Fire protection System demonstration.
- Solar PV and heating system.
- Construction sites.
Practical / Site Visit:(30 hours)
